Remediation is the process of tightening and strengthening the current administrative, technical and physical elements of secure information. When assessing the likelihood and impact of risk on organizational data, areas of weakness and vulnerability in the system are often revealed. This often includes updating equipment, hardening internal and external ports, strengthening back up/ disaster recovery protocols and implementing new end user training and standard operating procedures as well as other remediation solutions.
